The Inés Granda family are the second generation of cheesemakers in Pría de Llanes, on the east coast of Asturias, that have gained widespread fame and recognition. They are enthusiastic about Gamonedo, one of the various blue cheeses made in Picos de Europa very close to Pría. Their new cheese Tres Leches de Pría is a tribute to these old cheeses from the port of Covadonga made with mixed milk (ewe, cow and goat).
Honest flavor, clean, very buttery, with notes of mushroom and walnuts and with a slight smoked background. Perfect pairing with cider or young and fruity white wines, and accompanied by toast or cornbread.
