Garrotxa is a new cheese, developed at the beginning of the 80s in a goat dairy in La Garrotxa, in north of Catalonia, from which it took its name. At the moment it is produced exclusively by a small number of Catalan artisan cheesemakers. The cheesemaker who we work with produces possibly the best Garrotxa on the market and it is exported all over the world.
Very clean taste, frank, very creamy on the palate and with notes of sweet butter, raw mushrooms and walnuts. Perfectly paired with red or young white wines, brut Cavas or medium-bodied beers
